J Balvin lidera las nominaciones latinas de los MTV VMA’s 2020
El cantante colombiano, J Balvin la está “rompiendo” con su rol entre los latinos más nominados en los premios MTV Video Music Awards (VMA’s) 2020, que tendrán cita el próximo 30 de agosto.
En la categoría de Mejor video latino, J Balvin parte como favorito con tres menciones: Una por su canción “Amarillo” y otras dos por colaborar con Anuel AA, Daddy Yankee, Ozuna y Karol G en “China” por un lado, y por el otro con Maluma en “Qué Pena”.
En total, J Balvin recibió cuatro nominaciones, tres a Mejor vídeo latino y otra por su colaboración con Black Eyed Peas en “Ritmo (Bad Boys For Life)”.
Sin embargo, Bad Bunny representa una fuerte competencia en la categoría de Mejor Video Latino con “Yo Perreo Sola”. Le siguen “Tusa” de Karol G y Nicki Minaj y “Mamacita” de Black Eyed Peas ft. Ozuna & J. Rey Soul.
La española Rosalía, que el año pasado triunfó al ganar mejor coreografía y video latino por “Con Altura”, este año recibió una nominación en las categorías técnicas por la edición de “A Palé”.
Lady Gaga y Taylor Swift, las más nominadas
Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande lideran las nominaciones de este año a los premios MTV Video Music Awards (VMA) con nueve candidaturas cada una, incluido su éxito conjunto “Rain On Me” que podría alzarse como video y canción del año.
Los importantes galardones, que celebrarán una gala sin público el 30 de agosto en Nueva York, anunciaron este jueves sus nominaciones y añadieron dos categorías diseñadas específicamente por la pandemia del coronavirus: Mejor video musical desde casa y actuación en cuarentena.
Tras Lady Gaga y Ariana Grande se situaron Billie Eilish y The Weeknd, con seis candidaturas cada uno y Taylor Swift, con cinco menciones ya que su aclamado último trabajo, “Folklore”, se lanzó fuera de plazo.
Por categorías, los candidatos a Mejor videoclip del año son, además de “Rain On Me”: “Everything I Wanted” de Billie Eilish, “Blinding Lights” de The Weeknd, “The Man” de Taylor Swift, “Life Is Good” de Future ft. Drake y “Godzilla” de Eminem ft. Juice WRLD.
Por su parte, Justin Bieber, Lady Gaga, Megan Thee Stallion, Post Malone, Da Baby y The Weeknd competirán por ser nombrados artista del año. Mientras que Ariana Grande, ausente en ese apartado, tendrá el doble de papeletas para hacerse con el premio a la mejor colaboración por sus temas junto a Justin Bieber, “Stuck with U”, y Lady Gaga, “Rain On Me”.
